You always work with numbers as an engineer, inspector, or technician. But unfortunately, the units used are not the same, and you will often need to convert them. You can enter the values for each parameter in both International System of Units (SI) and Imperial units. The default unit category, SI or Imperial, can be changed in the Settings section. Moreover, in CCPTools, there is a dedicated section to convert units for cathodic protection and corrosion applications.
List of Units
- Current Density (Ver. 1.0)
- Potential Conversion (Ver. 1.0)
- Anode Consumption Rate (Ver. 1.0)
- Corrosion Rate Calculation (Ver. 1.0)
- Corrosion Rate Conversion (Ver. 1.0)
- Corrosion Current Calculation (Ver. 1.0)
- Galvanic Series (Ver. 1.0)
- Length (Ver. 1.0)
- Resistivity and Conductivity (Ver. 1.0)
- Surface (Ver. 1.1)
- Volume (Ver. 1.1)
- Weight (Ver. 1.1)
- Temperature (Ver. 1.1)
- Density (Ver. 1.1)
- Linear Resistivity (Ver. 1.1)
- Surface Resistivity (Ver. 1.1)
- Velocity (Ver. 1.1)
Keep in mind that in CCPTools, you can select input and output units, so the unit conversion rate inside the application is similar to the values in this section. Therefore, while the converting coefficient does have many decimal places and is quite precise, it’s not infinite!
