We can express an anode’s consumption rate and electrochemical capacity in different units: SI or Imperil. What’s more, sometimes converting between the two units can help us understand the value better and use it more easily. As a result, it is helpful for cathodic protection and corrosion engineers, inspectors, and technicians to convert data to more understandable units. Here, we present the anode consumption rates and electrochemical units used in the CCPTools app. Generally, the consumption rate is expressed with the Weight/(Current x Time) generic unit. Furthermore, the general unit formula of electrochemical capacity is the inverse, being (Current x Time)/Weight.
Anode Consumption Rate Example
